It was my dad, Andrew Hagen, who introduced me to the concept of ship-shape living. The lessons instilled as a navy signalman during World War II became common guidance around our home:
- A place for everything and everything in its place.
- You are not on time unless you are five minutes early.
- Plan your work and work your plan.
- Keep your shoes shined and your clothes pressed to put your best foot forward.
While these ideas may seem old fashioned, they are ideas that have stood the test of time and still have value today. These principles were my early foundations of living an organized life, and we can work together to help you achieve your own version of ship-shape living in your own spaces.
